The Cenacle Sisters of England and Ireland

Mary Toner

I am Irish born in Dublin. I joined the Cenacle in the early 1970s in my late 20s. I was attracted by the spirit and charism that I experienced in the sisters I had known over a number of years. Also as an international congregation it had a broad vision/perspective that I identified with.

The ministries I have been and am currently engaged, spiritual direction, retreats, counselling, human development, working with marginalised groups, parish, liturgy, prison.

What sustains this is my personal prayer and community life/prayer and the many people I encounter that nourish my faith and belief in our world and encourage me to respond on a daily basis.

Who would I like to invite or be invited to a meal with alive or from history?  Nelson Mandela and Mary Robinson , both  people who  are voices for justice against injustices in the our world.
